Dr. Andrew Jeffers
Dentist
Dr. Andrew Jeffers has been caring for Bedford families since 2016, when he joined the practice as an associate. In 2017, he purchased Bedford Family Dentistry from Dr. James Seitz, continuing the practice's legacy of excellent care while bringing his own vision and energy to it.
Dr. Jeffers earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, in 2006, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia in 2010. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry, and has served as President of the Central PA Dental Society since 2019.
What drew Dr. Jeffers to dentistry was a deep desire to give back and make a positive impact on people's lives. "Helping others in a medical field felt right for me," he shares. Today, what he values most about his work is the trust and respect he shares with his team. "The level of trust and respect my team and I have for each other only strengthens our practice," he says.
Outside the office, Dr. Jeffers prioritizes staying active and believes physical activity is vital for a healthy body and mind. You'll often find him hiking, biking, or walking through his neighborhood. He also loves traveling to new places with his wife, Krissy, and exploring everything the world has to offer.
A passionate enthusiast of American muscle cars, Dr. Jeffers has a special love for all things Mustang—from owning and racing them to researching their history and mechanics. And while he may come across as serious and reserved at first, those who know him quickly discover his keen sense of humor.
Angela Thomas
Front Office Coordinator
Angela joined Bedford Family Dentistry as a front office coordinator in 2023, bringing warmth, professionalism, and a genuine passion for patient care to our practice. She understands that she creates the first impression for every patient who walks through our doors, and she takes that responsibility seriously—building trust, establishing rapport, and helping reduce anxiety from the very first interaction.
What Angela loves most about her work is educating and empowering patients about their dental insurance, helping them navigate what can often feel like a confusing system, and ensuring they understand their coverage and financial options. Her dedication to patient advocacy shines through in every interaction.
Angela entered the dental field in 2019 after a winding career path that led her exactly where she was meant to be. After graduating from Chestnut Ridge High School, she registered for a medical secretarial program but changed her mind at the last moment and attended cosmetology school instead. Twenty-four years later, she found her way to dentistry in a front desk role and immediately realized, "It was where I always belonged." The blend of administrative tasks, customer service, and financial coordination keeps her work constantly varying and interesting, with endless opportunities to grow and develop new skills.
Outside the office, Angela enjoys reading, cooking, adventuring, shopping, and spending quality time with her dogs. She's also deeply committed to giving back to her community, volunteering each year at Camp Cadet of Bedford County and serving as treasurer on its board of directors.
Whitney Snyder
Front Office Coordinator
Whitney joined the Bedford Family Dentistry team in August 2025 as our front office coordinator. After seeking a fresh career direction, she discovered her place in the dental field and hasn't looked back since. Whitney received her training on the job and has quickly become an essential part of our dental practice.
What Whitney loves most about her role is working alongside her fun and supportive team. Their positive energy makes each day at the practice enjoyable, and that enthusiasm shines through in every patient interaction.
When she's not welcoming patients at Bedford Family Dentistry, Whitney stays active and loves spending time with friends and family. She's passionate about fitness and regularly hits the gym to stay in shape. You might also find her on the softball field playing coed softball, where she enjoys the friendly competition and team camaraderie.
Here's a fun fact about Whitney: despite living an active lifestyle, she's never been skiing! Perhaps one day she'll trade the softball diamond for the slopes, but for now, she's happy keeping her feet firmly on the ground.
Krissy Jeffers
Front Office Coordinator
Krissy joined Bedford Family Dentistry as the front office coordinator in March 2025, bringing a warm smile and diverse background to our team. She handles a wide range of responsibilities, from scheduling patients and answering insurance questions to confirming appointments and supporting the entire practice. "Every member of this team is so important and helps support each other," she says, and her versatility and team-first attitude make her an invaluable part of our dental family.
Krissy studied Liberal Arts and Sciences with a double major in Theatre and has worked in various medical offices throughout her career, including dental and chiropractic practices. She previously worked in dentistry from 2015 to 2016 and most recently served as an activities director for an independent living facility. Since 2018, she has also been a certified travel agent, helping clients plan their dream vacations.
Outside of work, Krissy is passionate about travel and loves exploring new destinations with her husband, checking places off their bucket list one adventure at a time. As a certified Travel Associate, she spends much of her free time crafting personalized itineraries for her travel clients. She's also an avid reader, always with a good book in hand.
A unique talent that sets Krissy apart? She's an actress! You can catch her performing on stage at several local community theaters throughout the year. And here's a fun fact: she has a turtle that's almost 24 years old—a longtime companion who's been with her through many of life's adventures!
Michele Davidson
RDH - Dental Hygienist
Michele has been a dedicated dental hygienist since 1993 and joined Bedford Family Dentistry in 1997, when the practice was under Dr. James Seitz. With over 25 years at the practice, Michele has built lasting relationships with patients, often caring for them from early childhood through their adult years—and now welcoming their own children for dental care. As a registered dental hygienist, Michele provides comprehensive oral health services including oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, non-surgical periodontal therapy, routine cleanings, and diagnostic radiographs.
Michele earned her dental hygiene degree from Allegany College of Maryland and stays current with the latest technology and treatments through continuing education. Her approach to patient care centers on creating a friendly, positive atmosphere where everyone feels heard and respected.
What Michele loves most about her work is the opportunity to educate patients about oral health and its connection to overall wellness, while being part of an office staff that feels like family. Her passion for dentistry was sparked during childhood through positive dental experiences and job shadowing with LuAnn at Dr. Livengood's office.
Outside the office, Michele enjoys walking, reading, and listening to music. She also enjoys spending time around a campfire and star gazing. While she loves beach vacations, there's one catch—she never swims in the ocean!
Jessica Bingman
RDH - Dental Hygienist
Jessica has been an integral part of Bedford Family Dentistry since 2005, bringing expertise, compassion, and a holistic approach to patient care. As a registered dental hygienist and myofunctional therapist, Jessica provides comprehensive oral health services including oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, non-surgical periodontal therapy, routine cleanings, and diagnostic radiographs.
What sets Jessica apart is her specialization in myofunctional therapy—a therapeutic approach that corrects oral dysfunctions through targeted exercises. She helps patients address a wide range of health issues, including sleep-disordered breathing, mouth breathing, allergies, orthodontic relapse, TMJ disorders, and swallowing habits. Her work also includes early intervention to expand and release tethered oral tissues, making a meaningful difference in patients' overall health and quality of life.
Jessica earned her dental hygiene degree from Allegany College of Maryland in 2002 and completed her myofunctional therapy training through MyoMentor. She was drawn to dentistry because she's always wanted to help and care for people in the healthcare field. "I always liked going to the dentist and thought it would be a rewarding and fulfilling career being a dental hygienist," she shares.
Outside the office, Jessica loves traveling to beach destinations for relaxation, attending live music events, hiking, and camping. She prioritizes self-care through massage, physical therapy, and chiropractic care, and wakes up at 4 AM to exercise before work—a routine that might seem "nuts" to some, but keeps her energized and ready for the day! She also enjoys "diamond art" as a mindful alternative to scrolling on social media and has a talent for finding unique Airbnb stays when she travels.
Paula Bottenfield
RDH - Dental Hygienist
Paula has been a dedicated member of the Bedford Family Dentistry team since 2007. She started part-time while working at another office, then transitioned to a full-time position here the same year—a testament to how quickly she felt at home with our practice and our patients. As a registered dental hygienist, Paula provides comprehensive oral health services including oral cancer screenings, periodontal evaluations, non-surgical periodontal therapy, routine cleanings, and diagnostic radiographs.
Paula earned her degree in dental hygiene from Allegany College of Maryland. After working in manufacturing following high school, she decided to pursue a college education and chose a profession that would allow her to build a career right here in Bedford. Dental hygiene proved to be the perfect fit, combining her desire to help others with the opportunity to stay connected to her community.
What Paula loves most about her work is the relationships she builds with patients and coworkers over the years. "Getting to know new people and the relationships you establish with them over the years—patients and coworkers really do become like family," she shares. Her genuine warmth and care make every dental visit feel comfortable and personal.
Outside the office, Paula stays active with weight lifting, hiking, and skiing when the season arrives. She also enjoys crocheting and loves to travel, seeking out new adventures whenever possible. Paula describes herself as an adventure junkie. There isn't anywhere in the world she wouldn't want to explore, and she has a knack for discovering hidden gems and quirky, unexpected experiences along the way. In fact, she dreams of competing on The Amazing Race and believes she'd excel!
Francine Koontz
EFDA — Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Francine has been a dedicated member of the Bedford Family Dentistry team for an impressive 26 years, bringing warmth, skill, and compassion to her role as an expanded functions dental assistant. With 28 years of experience in dentistry, Francine has built her career on a foundation of communication, empathy, organization, and attention to detail.
After graduating from the Greater Altoona Technical Center in September 2016, Francine found her calling in dentistry through an unexpected path. While in college, she met her best friend in a dental assisting class. Years later, as a stay-at-home mom, that friend reached out about a job opportunity. Francine discovered her passion for helping patients feel comfortable and at ease, especially when they're anxious about dental care.
What Francine loves most about her work is the family atmosphere at Bedford Family Dentistry and the opportunity to interact with patients, making their experience as positive as possible.
Outside the office, she enjoys watching crime shows, attending local drag races and car shows, and exploring historic buildings. Here's a fun fact: Francine once appeared on Dance Party USA, and yes, it was televised! When she's not at work or enjoying her hobbies, you'll find her spending quality time with friends and family.
Brandee Ednie
Dental Assistant
Brandee has been a dedicated member of the Bedford Family Dentistry team since 1996, bringing nearly three decades of experience and compassion to her role as a dental assistant. Her journey in dentistry began with a simple yet powerful motivation: a desire to help people, especially those experiencing dental pain.
Trained on the job and continuously expanding her skills through specialized courses in orthodontic assisting and x-ray certification, Brandee excels at assisting the doctor with patient care, maintaining pristine treatment rooms, and managing all clinical supply ordering. Known for her efficiency and exceptional multitasking abilities, she ensures every aspect of patient care runs smoothly.
What Brandee loves most about her work is the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives and being part of a supportive, close-knit team. Her colleagues appreciate her reliability and positive spirit, which she brings to the office every single day.
Outside the practice, Brandee is an avid outdoors enthusiast who enjoys walking, biking, and swimming. Rain or shine, you'll find her on her daily walk—a commitment she maintains regardless of the weather. She's also deeply involved in her community as the superintendent for the junior arts and crafts exhibits at the Bedford County Fair, where she helps nurture young talent and creativity.
Rebecca Brallier
Dental Assistant
Rebecca has been a dedicated member of the Bedford Family Dentistry team since March 2003, bringing over two decades of experience and compassion to her role. As a dental assistant, she works alongside our doctors during procedures and provides support wherever needed to ensure every patient receives excellent care.
Rebecca's journey in dentistry began with on-the-job training at "Dr. Seitz's school of hard knocks," and her hands-on experience has made her an invaluable part of our practice. What drew her to the dental field—and what continues to inspire her today—is her passion for helping people understand the importance of taking care of their teeth. Her favorite part of the job is making patients feel comfortable, building genuine connections, and turning nervous visitors into friends.
When she's not at the office, Rebecca enjoys gardening and tending to her collection of flowers and houseplants, playing fetch with her dog, and exploring the outdoors. She's also skilled in sewing and crafts, and has a fun secret: she's a chicken farmer! (Well, with 20 chickens, she says it counts!)
